PS: I like your snow effects better than what I did today. You’ve got to show me your trick. Also, I felt the same way when I finished my panel. I hated having to cover it up with snow.
Yeah, I’ve been known to brave a storm or two for things other than work!
And there’s not much of a trick to the snow effect, I just made a whole whack of white blobs on a new layer on top of everything… that way, I could add or remove bits of snow if I needed to. I tried some blurring, but it didn’t look as good.
Yep, whether it was a beer run in college or a Mountain Dew run today, that’s me.
I know what you mean. I had this great panel with my gang in Bud’s car and then I had to cover it with rain. I spent all this time working on the frame only to realize a majority of it was going to be blasted by the rain effect. DOH!
Yeah, the rain I did needed blurring, but snow just falls, so I could see who the blur effect would not work as well. Great strip either way!
ps. I’m really liking how you’re blurring the backgrounds in your strip, Byron, it really gives it that depth-of-field look. Not a shock given your video background, I guess, but it looks excellent.
Crowbar is a guy after my own heart. I’ve gone out in raging blizzards just to get my “necessities”.

I love geeking out to comic tech-talk!

Haha, great page!
