Got some more windows in, plus a door, most of the soffit and fascia up, and started working on the front deck. In other news, it’s winter….
Well having walls up will make the interior slightly warmer for the coming work days. Getting Insulation in and rock on the walls will help more.
I’m having my own kind of small construction fun. My new apartment has a Glass block 6″ x 6″ x 2″ bathroom window that has micro-cracks in the mortar. I thought about silicone to plug it up, but then decided that the block and mortar is probably too cold for good adhesion. It was -7c here last night. My fall back option is to visit the local lumber place for some exterior foam and press fit it in the window cavity. I also needed to locate some funky GFI outlets for the kitchen and bath, since the place needs those too.
