Looks like a barn swallow, but it must have been a parrot… ![]()
(I’m assuming everybody gets the Monty Python reference?)
Friday! And when Daughter #1 comes for a visit today, we’ll be the whole family together for the first time since Christmas! Now I know how my parents must have felt when we all scattered to the four winds…

As they say: the difference between a comedy and a tragedy is where you end the story.
So true. And endings are hard. In fact, I couldn’t even remember the ending of the parrot sketch, I had to look it up. But the idea of a dead parrot is so genius, you don’t even worry about the ending.
Last panel:
CAPTION: Meanwhile…
[ From the side we see Crowbar (LEFT) resting in a chair: feet up, remote in one hand, beverage in the other. He is facing an old tube television (RIGHT). ]
CROWBAR: Why is there a penguin on the TV?
[ Yes, there is a penguin on top of the TV ]
Why wouldn’t there be penguins on the TV? They got Crosby, Malkin, Fleury… I watch the Penguins all the time.
Beautiful use of Monty Python reference! Love it!
Thanks, PB! Big fan of all the Pythoners, for sure!
